Shape is only one decision

Specify the closure and material performance separately.

Opening & closure: zipper, tear notch, hanging hole, window, spout or valve, where compatible with the format and available conversion route.

Material & filling: oxygen/moisture barrier, puncture strength, seal integrity, vacuum, gas flushing, cold storage, hot-fill or retort conditions. A similar-looking pouch does not establish suitability for these processes.
